Fellow parents beware! The lack of option to restore your purchase (aka subscription) from within the Parents app can prove frustrating. Moving to a new iPad or trying to load your already purchased magazines on other devices is impossible without this functionality. Parents Magazine developers: include this functionality for a higher customer satisfaction and iTunes rating. -Disgruntled Parent

I purchased a 1-year subscription to this magazine and I have never been able to download an issue without paying the individual issue fee. What a waste of money! I contacted Apple and they told me to contact the developer. So I did. It takes days to hear back from them, and when I finally do their advice is obvious and what I have already tried. I have never had a problem with any other magazine! Dont waste your money!

took several months and a lot of irate customers but Meredith Corp/itunes finally did the right thing by allowing their customers re-downloads/continuation of their paid subscriptions. FINALLY.

Have subscribed for a few years, always run into problems where new issues are not available for reading. Contacted the support for fixing it and was able to do so. Since 2015 March issue, every issue is not available and keeps asking for buying it for another $3.49. Customer support not replying email. Would not recommend subscribing.

Once you subscribe and have a problem with the App they say that is not their fault but direct you on iTunes. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!

I love the mag ,however I am not a fan of how you pay for a years subscription but it doesnt allow you to view past magazines

I enjoy this app! I am a new subscriber and once my order was processed I had no problems getting access. I like that I can access all back issues too.

I bought the print version of parents magazine when our daughter turned 1. It was a great deal. I expected to like it and find it useful, but it has greatly exceeded my expectations. Each issue I find a few articles worth the entire subscription price. Just got an iPad and I was itching to try the app which they state in the print version is free. WOW! I was not expecting the app version to be this good. It is utterly charming. Easy to navigate, great image quality, and unexpected pages that come alive with video. The covers but also I was just in the October 11 issue and the Halloween house came alive. Here is how I got it to synch with my print account. I choose the enter address info. I then had to choose send me a password. They did instantly, put that in and was pleased to see back issues at least as far as I remember my print issues going. One time the app got stuck on a page. I choose page view from the handy bar on the bottom and got past that page. Fantastic added value. Thanks Parents mag.

Its bad enough print readers have to pay twice...which is totally unacceptable....but even worse...a digital subscription only works on ONE device???? Come ON....these guys are total scam artists....every other iPad mag lets me download on multiple iPads...not this one.... Teach these greedy idiots a lesson and AVOID

Ive used this app for months and Ive loved it. I never even read my print subscription anymore because I always have my iPad 2 with me. I just went into library to download July and all the previous months need to be downloaded again? Why? Nothing has changed on my end. Same iPad. The signal to my Internet is low due to where I live and it took me forever to download those! I wont be able to do it again and its a shame because Im always rereading relevant articles. I love parents magazine but this disappoints me.

This is such a wonderful app. I just downloaded this on my iPad, and I will be using this instead of reading the paper copies. Love that you can bookmark and share stories! So cool!!!

This is worst then maware they take over the top of you iPad I am sure the are a family magazine and be the first one if a video Game or porn should up they should be reported to apple

I am fan of the magazine, however, the iPad app constantly crashes even after the most recent update. I typically notice that it crashes when I goto the "playroom" section and click on the circle that says app. Please fix this issue so that I can enjoy the iPad version of this magazine.

Updated today and will either sit at a black screen or crash.

I am with another reviewer. I keep trying to like app, but even after upgrade, not working. I got October issue in mail before available on iPad and now that its available, I cant download it!! Very frustrating.

I loved this app and subscription. But ever since the new upgrade, Ive been very disappointed. Every other page now displays an advertisement. I totally understand how ads are important to marketing and costs, but putting one whole page ad every other page is ridiculous! It completely ruins the entire smooth flowing interface that originally attracted me to purchase this subscription in the first place. Do you really need to cut an article in half just for an ad? Please fix

Since the new update I cant open the magazine, its just black

Misleading, not free, Im deleting.

After I upgraded it removed all of the issues I downloaded in the past. It takes WAAAY too long to download, so I am removing it!

Tried to ask for reminder of password and it keeps saying sites are down. Have tried for the last 5 days.
